If you have any suggestions or internet pages that could help me it would be nice. Thank you in advance

I think it might help newbies like myself who want to try expand their pyrography artwork and combine it with a little bit of carving. This is the site : http://www.carvingpatterns.com/landscapes/landscapes_2.htm Any other suggestions of other sites are mostly welcome as well as some extra advices (which are more important) by experts. Thank you all.

The more carving you do, the less burning and vice versa. I have chosen to completely minimalize the carving. I create different levels, sand them all smooth, then burn.

Hooked i just want to learn shallow relief carving in order to give a 3 dimensional feeling to some of my burnings, use it only around the theme, not detailed. My main problem is that i don't know how to control the depth, to be the same around the sketch, and how to carve away the wood around in the same depth. I have woodcarving tools and i've tried some time ago but if there is some special tip about these two matters i would appreciate it a lot.
